Lead Software Engineer – Technology

What you’ll do:  

As a Lead Software Engineer, you are responsible for leading and mentoring a development team within a specific task or project, side by side with hands-on development. You are quick to spot missteps in design and architecture and own the overall quality of the code that makes it into the product suite.

Day-to-day, your role includes:
·      Design, develop, maintain, and evolve the applications, services, and tools with high standards of reliability and quality.

·      Steer the team's roadmap in collaboration with Product Management to co-create product requirements and transform them into high-quality components and services.

·      Advocating for a healthy code base, proactively adding architectural improvements to the product backlog to maintain a scalable and reusable solution.

·      Actively participate in technical discussions and contribute to design ideas. Be instrumental in setting technical direction and best practices for current and future needs.

·      Responsible for review of designs and code.

·      Mentor and lead other team members on feature implementation, ensuring requirements are met in a timely appropriate manner.

·      Call out blockers as early as possible that could impact the timeliness of deliveries.

·      Coordinating with DevOps Engineer to continually push completed code into production environments and improve continuous delivery.

·      In this role, you need to analyze and solve moderately complex problems.

·      You are required to create new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures.

·      You are required to understand the strategic direction set by senior management, clearly communicate team goals, deliverables, and keep the team updated on change.

We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

·      Deep familiarity with the digital environment.

·      At least 5 years of working experience software web and mobile application development, and experience in managing team.

·      Hands on experience with PHP, Java, J2EE, Microservices / Cloud based development, Javascript frameworks, jQuery, Bootstrap, AJAX, JSON, HTML5, CSS3.

·      Sound Hands on knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, SOA, and Design patterns.

·      Experience in leading small teams and responsible for technical design, code review, and on time delivery of functionality.

·      Strong experience using DevOps tools (Jenkins, Bamboo,  BitBucket, Maven).

·      Firm understanding of software engineering methodologies such as object-oriented design and design patterns, including MVC.

·      Experience with source versioning, preferably Git.

·      Administration skills on web server and application server products, preferably Apache, Tomcat, etc.

·      Familiarity with web security methodologies.

·      Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.

·      Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Good to Have:

·      Experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)

·      Experience UX/UI framework experience (React/Angular/Node.js).
