Kate Davis - Humour in the Workplace | Work–Life Balance
Studies show that using humour in the workplace creates increased productivity and communication among employees. And who better to bring this truism to life than Kate Davis, five-time nominee for the Canadian Comedy Awards, and star of many television comedy specials. Kate’s laugh-out-loud wit, coupled with her insights into the unique day-to-day challenges of the working world, helps organizations increase employee motivation, teamwork, and overall happiness.
Theatrically trained in England, Kate returned to Canada—and to a successful run on the Canadian stage. She then found her true passion at an “open mike” at a local comedy club. Since then, she has appeared on Breakfast Television, Star TV, Toronto 1, Prime, WTN, TVO, CBC Radio One’s The Debaters and Slice’s The Mom Show. She was a finalist for the 2008 season of Last Comic Standing, and appeared in NBC’s Stand up for Diversity.
Kate has presented to audiences throughout Canada, on both workplace humour and parenting with humour. Her past clients have included the Canadian Mental Health Association; The Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation; The Night of Stars Gala; Casey House; Canadian Tire; and Woman magazine.
