“Learning, unlearning, and relearning is my success mantra” Vijaya Deshpande, Founder LINK SUCCESS.

I lost my father at an early age, so my mother played the role of both a mother and a father. She was strict when we were growing up. We weren’t allowed to eat ice creams. So once I got and hid them under my pillow, waiting for my mother to leave. But when she left, I took a peek at the ice-cream; they had melted and spread all across the bed! That was the day I learned that we should always have a presence of mind, no matter the situation.

My mother also focused on imbibing the “learning attitude.” She wouldn’t let us sit idle even during our vacations. My siblings and I were asked continuously to develop our skills. This gave me my success mantra to learn, unlearn, and relearn. It has made me resilient and helped me build a persona. I believe that our learning should never stop as it also puts a stop to our growth. Learning enhances our capability or competency by developing an X-factor in us that makes us stand apart.

My family has been supportive of me every time I have faced challenges in life. I have derived my strengths from various models at different stages in life. Throughout my childhood years, it was my mother. Later, it was my husband who taught me to face these challenges. It is surprising the things we can learn from those around us. Sometimes I end up learning things from my daughter. I even follow mythological heroes such as Ram and Karna, who were committed to their goals and believed in giving back to the world. A few other people I follow include Kiran Bedi and Elon Musk. All these people have an X-factor to them, which I later try to add to my personality. Some of the prominent factors that stand out include being innovative and resilient.

These factors aren’t gender-specific in nature. However, women generally suppress themselves trying to create a balance between their personal and professional life. Women need to follow their passion and enjoy this journey called life, irrespective of where they are. The disparity we face in the industry is due to our mindset. We have to convert this mindset gap into mindfulness. All this starts when we educate ourselves. It is a general notion that women cannot lead. This is a mindset that needs a change for all of us to move ahead in life.

There is a general thinking that This is the mindset we have to change to move forward in life. The change is happening, and the change needs to come from us. As a superpower, I would want to see a smile on every woman’s face. I want all of them to be empowered, learn their strengths as well as their weaknesses.

I feel in working, women played the role next to god. In today's new normal disruptive world like sita they have cleared all the agniparikhsas have outperformed. Working for home and Working from home.

#WorkingWomen are iconic outliers!!!!
