• Work with ODC and QA Manager on creation of appropriate project test strategies and plans that will ensure delivery of quality products to stakeholders in an efficient and effective manner
• Implementation and monitoring of agreed testing strategies and plans
• Collaborate with project team members to ensure smooth implementation of test strategy and wider project deliverables
• Identification and application of appropriate control actions when progress is not as planned
• Lead & mentor the test team
• Support ODC test manager in estimation and resourcing
• Perform requirement analysis and ensure fitness for purpose.
• Identify test data and environment needs for testing.
• Review test scenarios and test cases of test team and ensure quality of test cases is to high standards.
• Allocate testing work to test team and ensure completed to agreed standards
• Be prepared to support team with hands on identification of test scenarios, creation and execution of test cases when needed
• Support ODC test manager to publish metrics for incorporation in weekly/ milestone status reports
• Manage defects as per agreed defect management process
• Suggest improvements in test process.
• Take ownership of test team and testing quality.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Required
  • At least 5 years’ experience in testing, minimum of ISTQB foundation certified
  • Test role in teams working on multiple concurrent test projects, with experience of working with different project resources (e.g. BA’s, developers)
  • Forward thinking, good analytical skills, able to identify and apply pragmatic solutions to problems
  • Able to understand technical designs and documents and apply knowledge to drive appropriate test strategies
  • Experience of working alongside other project roles to collaboratively plan and ensure QA function deliverables can be met to high standard
  • Test planning and task estimation
  • Creation of test plans and test summary reports
  • Excellent functional and system testing skills with strong understanding of test design techniques and when to implement them (including black box)
  • Experience of Waterfall, V Model and Agile project methodologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (preferably across CRM, F&O and field service)
  • Strong experience in test case/scenarios and requirement reviews
  • Knowledge of test automation – when to use and tools to support; Selenium and Katalon knowledge would be an advantage.
