Test Lead Qualifications

• 3+ yrs. experience in a QA Lead, Test Lead or Test Manager capacity
• Strong understanding of large IT Project Management, Integration and/or Business Application QA Testing
• Possess solid experience leading Testing for complex ERP implementation
• Solid experience in using JIRA for logging, tracking and status reporting of test cases
• Must be a disciplined, self-starter and able to execute on assignments independently.
• Strong communication skills
• Able to present the progress of the testing and resolution clearly
• Possess strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail to ensure all issues reported are followed up with timely resolution.
• Excellent organizational, coordination and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet timelines and coordinate with multiple vendors
• Ability to multi-task is essential
• Telco experience is preferred
• Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Fixed Asset module would be an added advantage

Test Lead Responsibilities

• Develop master test strategy and approach
  • Lead the development and delivery of a Master Test Strategy & Plan with support from project stakeholders and vendors.
  • Ensure end to end test strategy is complete by reviewing the System Integration Test (SIT), QA testing, & User Acceptance Test (UAT) covers all applications in scope.
  • Establish clear entry and exit criteria for testing
  • Ensure entry and exit criteria for testing is communicated to relevant stakeholders
• Lead and develop the detail test plan including :
  • Identify Training requirements such as product training, how to use the testing tools and plan those training in advance prior to the testing.
  • Estimate and obtain management support for the time, resources and budget required to perform the testing.
  • Test scenarios, test cases preparation, step by step test execution, acceptance criteria and assigned tester
  • Test data preparation
  • Ensure preparation of test environment is completed with proper access management including Test User Mgmt (user creation, access mgmt.) and application setup ready
  • Work with the migration lead on testing data migration preparation & execution
  • Understand the testing effort by analyzing the requirements of project.
  • Performance & Stress test preparation & execution
  • Non-functional Test preparation & execution eg. Connectivity testing, Security testing
• Lead, coordinate, manage and monitor SIT, QA & UAT process:
  • Verify entry criteria for SIT & UAT have been met
  • Organize the testing kick-off meeting
  • Manage and govern end to end testing providing quality assurance
  • Manage, track & triage defects and issues until closure
  • Track and prioritize the daily testing execution progress and defect status.
  • Conduct daily checkpoint meeting to update testing status & progress
  • Send out test status reports daily to all relevant stakeholders
  • Manage the vendors in regular calls to ensure timely bugs fixing
  • Prepare and publish reporting dashboard on overall test management tracking status and progress
  • Act as the single point of contact between Vendor development team and testers.
  • Prepares / updates the metrics dashboard at the end of a phase or at the completion of project.
  • Verify exit criteria for SIT & UAT have been met
  • Ensure UAT is signed off before planning for “go live”
• Risks and Mitigation
  • Schedule cross team meeting (if required) for complex defects/issues.
  • Keep track of the new requirements / change in requirements of the Project. (New CR management by escalating to the PM)
  • Escalate roadblocks and resource needs to the Project Manager and provide mitigation plan

• Port Mortem Analysis of UAT
  • Ensure proper documentation per IT PPO governance
  • Lessons learnt documented
  • Best practices for future project references
  • Remaining scope of testing that can only be executed or confirmed after “go live” that needs to be followed up after “go live”
