Job Description
Job Summary

 Responsible for drafting, vetting, and negotiating various types of contracts and other documentation for Employment-related matter, Material Resources, Supply & Logistic, Debt Recovery, Performance Bonds, Guarantees and Investment, Share Sale & Purchase Agreements for Southeast Asia country
 Advising as to legal aspects and on legal compliance for contracts and other documentation
Responsibilities
 Provision of legal services and handling broad base corporate and commercial matters (non-contentious and contentious)
 Assisting with contract/documentation drafting, negotiations and review and provision of advice in particular with respect to Repair & Maintenance Contracts (Equipment & Vehicles), Tenancy Agreements, Consultancy Agreements and other various types of operations and sales/supply/procurement related contracts/documentation/advice required by Company and ad hoc legal research in various subjects/matters
 Assisting legal disputes and litigation matters
 Ensure that all legal documents and processes that affect Company are properly verified and authorised and adhere to Company policy
 To carry out any other duties/tasks required by superior from time to time
a. Employment related matters
 Assisting with contract/documentation drafting and review, research, provision of advice and liaising and working with HR Departments and external employment lawyers’/law firms
b. Raw materials/Goods import/export contracts (including aspects related to shipping)
 Assisting with contract/documentation drafting, review, negotiations and provision of advice
c. Debt recovery
 Assisting the Marketing and Finance Team with demands and claims in relation to debt recovery
d. Performance bonds and guarantees (from banks, corporations and individuals) and other forms of security
 Assisting with documentation drafting, review, negotiations and provision of advice
e. Company Product
 Assisting with contract/documentation drafting, review, negotiations and provision of advice
f. Oversea Manufacturing Operation
 Assisting with legal and legal related work (involving contract/documentation drafting, review and negotiations, non-contentious as well as contentious matters) involving potential projects
and on-going operations (including overseeing and checking the work done by external lawyers’/law firms)
g. Investment/Share Sale & Purchase Agreements
 Assisting HOD with project work involving investment/share sale & purchase agreement (involving contract/documentation drafting, review and liaising and working with external lawyers/law firm) for potential projects and on-going projects
h. Occupational and Health
 Assisting with documentation drafting, litigation related matters and provision of advice
Requirements
 Recognised LL.B (Hons) Law Degree
 Minimum 9 years experience in corporate and commercial matters (preferably in related fields, having worked in legal practice and possesses some litigation work experience)
 Ability to cope with high levels of responsibility and with confidential matters
 Ability to identify and remedy complex legal issues without inviting the services of external legal advice
 Ability to draft and manage complex documentation, handling such matter comfortably within a fast-paced business environment
 Experience working in a corporate legal capacity within a fast-paced, fast-evolving and dynamic environment
 Experience leading negotiations on complex, high value, contracts, and agreements
 Familiar with Microsoft Office software
 Good communication and language skills in drafting high-value legal documentation
 Deadlines oriented, attention to detail, has good skills in the legal negotiation, time management, interpersonal and communication
 Understands and complies with all Management Systems requirements
