Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

• 7+ years of experience in software development 

• Proven experience leading small- to medium-sized development teams and mentoring team members. 

• Hands-on experience managing and delivering globalized IT projects across multiple regions in Sourcing and Retail Industry. 

• Experience in reviewing existing implementations, debugging issues, and providing enhancement suggestions. 

• Experience in preparing and maintaining technical and functional documentation. 

• Node,js Certified Developer or Python-related certifications (eg. PCAP or PCPP) is a plus. 

• High-Code Development Requirements: 

• Strong programming experience with Node.js, Nest.js, and Python. 

• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or Solace. 

• Proficiency in microservices design and serverless architectures. 

• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB). 

• Deep knowledge of Linux environments, Docker containerization, and Kubernetes for orchestration. 

• Experience with modern DevOps tools for CI/CD, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms. 

What will you do? 

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team of developers working on both low-code applications and high-code solutions through the development lifecycle while upholding SDLC standards.  

• Global IT Project Implementation: 

• Manage end-to-end global IT project implementation from Design to Implementation and Deployment, coordinating across different time zones and regions. 

• Ensure alignment with global IT strategies, compliance standards, and localized requirements. 

• Facilitate collaboration between global stakeholders and development teams. 

• Discuss feasibility and trade-offs for potential solutions and challenge business requirements. 

• Solution Architecture: Design scalable and robust architectures, leveraging Mendix for rapid application development and high-code solutions for complex, custom functionality. 

• System Review & Optimization: Analyse and review current implementations to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for enhancement to optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability. 

• Integration & APIs: Build seamless integrations between Mendix applications, high-code services and other internal / external systems using REST APIs, GraphQL, and event-driven messaging systems. 

• Cloud & DevOps: Manage applications in cloud and serverless environments, utilizing Linux, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for efficient delivery and deployment. 

• Code Quality & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to coding standards, implement testing strategies, and promote best practices in software development. 

• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive functional and technical documentation for IT projects, including but not limited to: 

• Functional Specifications (FS) 

• Technical Design Documents (TDD) 

• Data Flow Diagrams, API specifications, and Integration documents 

• Deployment Guides and User Manuals 

• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks, and drive innovation within the team.
