Background:

The Group CIO is setting-out his strategy for IT across the group of companies, establishing a Technology Blueprint and an organisational structure that will meet the challenges head-on.  As a result, a new team is being created in India to deliver IT system configuration, development and support to the international business.  The purpose of the System Integrations Engineer team, based in India, is to provide centralised analysis and system integration capability for the group, enabling in-house delivery and maintenance of our international software solutions. These solutions form a critical part of our long term strategy of investment in technology, and will enable us to remain competitive in the global market.

Responsibilities:

• Build an understanding of the business flows, and the system configuration that sits behind them.
• Provide support to the ongoing development of a suite of applications to continue with the automation process.
• Collaborate with others to develop and test solutions to meet the requirements.
• Design and support implementation of system integration to streamline customer experience.
• Improve monitoring, reliability, performance and security of integration tools.
• Strive to achieve 100% automation of processes.
• Contribute towards platform migrations and upgrades.

Candidate Skills:

                Essential:

• Basic understanding of IT systems and methods of requirements gathering.
• Familiarity with EDI messaging standards (XML, EDIFACT etc…)
• Able to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Approachable manner, with good verbal and written communication.
• Self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude. Able to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of Agile Scrum Methodology
• Able to travel internationally.

                Desirable:

• Understanding of IT systems, including CargoWise, Access Delta & Dynamics 365;
• Able to design software solutions using industry recognised techniques.
• Familiar with formal testing methodologies and experience of a disciplined approach to implementing system change.
• Experience within a DevOps environment
• Qualifications: Degree or equivalent
