Job Summary
The Operations function consists of a number of teams and hubs working globally across the entire client journey. We support processes from onboarding, transaction processing, asset servicing, reconciliation and reporting to our clients. We are consistently working to achieve Schroders’ core values of excellence, innovation, teamwork, passion and integrity in everything we do. Data Management focuses on the internally facing systems designed to support our Operations and the wider business areas. The Data Management team consists of 4 separate teams (Pricing and Valuation, Instrument and Securities Data, Index and Benchmark Data and Client and Portfolio Data) located in 5 countries (New York, London, Singapore, Australia and India). The team is engaged in a business process outsourcing agreement with UST global who use a central hub located in Kochi, India to support Schroders.

Key Responsibilities And Competencies
The Head of Data Management APAC has the following responsibilities:
- Implement and embed the Group Operations strategy within Data Management APAC, in conjunction with regional, functional Chief Operating Officers and other functional global heads, ensuring consistency with group strategy and policies including
- Setting out a clear vision and strategy to future proof the operating model covering the APAC region
- Ensuring the operating model is fully compliant with regulations in all markets where Schroders funds are managed and sold
- Maintaining and further developing a well designed operating model that is simple, consistent and delivers high standards of client service
- Sponsorship and thought leadership on key strategic initiatives ensuring smooth implementation
- Senior subject matter expert to key stakeholders and senior management forums
- Provide the team and all direct reports with strong leadership and management
- To ensure the appropriate governance structure is in place at a global and regional level
- Ongoing monitoring and periodic reporting of Management Information and Key Performance Indicators
- Attendance and strong contribution to in all management forums
- Build and maintain a strong network of key stakeholders
- Responsible and accountable for day-to-day management of market and reference data for Pricing, Securities, Index, and Internal data delivery to key global stakeholders
- Proactive management of risks and controls, working with Operational risk and Audit to ensure an effective control environment
- Ensure all processes and procedures are updated and in compliance with the group's directive
- Continual review and improvement to workflow, systems and processes through automations, innovation and adoption of new technologies
- Staff management and talent development
- Budget and Compensation management for Asia Pacific
- Represent Asia Pacific to Lead and execute global and regional data projects, ensuring smooth implementation
- Vice Chair of the Asian Pricing Committee and ensure competence of Asian Pricing Unit to support the pricing units in the Asia Pacific region
- Fulfil role as a Capability Manager in the Singapore Data Agile Team
- Provide thought leadership, articulate and present clear growth strategy and vision for Data Management team in Asia Pacific
- At least 12 years of experience in market data management in an investment management firm
- Proven experience in managing and leading a team with 5 years in a leadership capacity
- Possess a wide range of knowledge in investment classes including Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income and Multi-asset
- Strong understanding of operational risks and control frameworks
- Strong advocate of continuous improvement in quality and delivery of the team
- Effective communication skills, written, presentational and verbal
- Experience in managing relationships with Data vendors
